Multiple Sclerosis
Disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the protective covering of the nerve cells in the brain, optic nerve, and spinal cord, called the myelin sheath. Side effects in early stages include: muscle weakness, vision problems, tingling, numbness or pain in extremities, clumsiness, bowel and bladder deficits. Side effects in later stages include: mental/physical fatigue, depression, loss of emotional expression, cognitive dysfunction.
